WCAPS GHANA CHAPTER

The WCAPS Ghana Chapter’s mission is to support, promote and foster the growth of women of color advancing peace and security throughout West Africa and the broader African continent.

Goals for Ghana and the region

  • Support Women of Color in all sectors working on issues in peace and security.

  • Using an intersectional framework, the chapter will foster an inclusive community and support system for women of color in the region and throughout the continent who are interested in peace, security, conflict transformation and foreign policy.

  • Provide programming and mentorship for women of color by women of color, minorities and allies.

  • Create a network where women can share knowledge thus generating repositories of best practice guidelines for governments, NGOs, and other sectors.

  • Create an international and local exchange for WCAPS members of all ages to intern or find opportunities on the continent.
