WCAPS Black History Month Program: Looking Inward, UNSCR 1325 & Redefining National Security in Addressing the Lived Experiences of Black Women

In recognition of Black History Month, WCAPS is organizing an event "Looking Inward: What UNSCR 1325 Means for Black Women.” Our program examines UNSCR 1325 internally, as we address the needs of Black women in redefining national security through the four pillars of UNSCR 1325-protection, participation, prevention, and relief and recovery.

This event is co-hosted by several WCAPS Working Groups: Redefining National Security, Defense and Intelligence, Human Rights, Illicit Trafficking, Peacemaking, Global Health and the Race Across the Pond Initiative.
