Hoda Hawa is the Director of Policy & Advocacy at the Muslim Public Affairs Council (MPAC). Hoda leads the organization’s policy goals based on MPAC's policy agenda (short – and long-term) with a specific focus on Capitol Hill, federal agencies and civil society. She engages members of Congress and their staff on legislation and current affairs, and to that end, she organizes briefings on various domestic and foreign policy issues for the Capitol Hill and federal agency communities. Hoda researches and writes policy memoranda, papers and statements on key domestic and foreign policy issues including: intersection of national security and civil liberties, immigration, religious freedom and human rights, and human security. She works with government and civil society (think tanks, tech sector and media) as a resource and adviser on policy issues and informed community perspectives. She has a M.A. in Ethics, Peace and Global Affairs from American University.
