WCAPS Juneteenth Celebration Series: The History of Juneteenth and Black Women in Peace and Security

Join WCAPS for Day 1 of our Juneteenth Celebration Series as we discuss the significant history of Juneteenth in honor of black women who are still fighting for black liberation in peace and security. Our guest speaker is historian and women's activist Pamela D.C. Junior. She is the newly appointed director of the Two Mississippi Museums in Jackson, Mississippi. We ask that all participants wear the color red in solidarity with one of the stripes on the pan-African flag.
