Mission

WCAPS believes in creating a platform devoted to women of color that cultivates a strong voice and network of its members while encouraging dialogue and strategies for engaging in policy discussions on an international scale. Through our dedication to mentorship and partnership and our passion for changing the global community landscape, we remain committed to achieving our vision of advancing the leadership and professional development of women of color in the fields of international peace, security and conflict transformation.


Purpose

  1. Identify, amplify, and augment work being done to explore the effects of emerging technology and cybersecurity concerns in communities of color. 

  2. Promote the engagement of communities of color in the national and international discourse of relevant issues; and explore equipping communities of color to enter the workforce of the future.

Goals

  1. To advance the leadership and professional development of women of color in the fields of international peace, security and conflict transformation.

  2. Identify, amplify, and augment work being done to explore the effects of emerging technology and cybersecurity concerns.

  3. Engage discussions on the impacts of emerging technology and cyber security on communities of color with an emphasis on women of color.
