Mission

The Latin American & Caribbean Region working group will assist WCAPS participants in providing high quality training and educational opportunities along with opportunities to exchange ideas. We aim to assist the Promulgation of guidelines, standards and ethical conduct. WCAPS Latin America & Caribbean Region working group will pursue and maintain strategic alliances with relevant organizations to enhance the effectiveness of WCAPS-Latin & Caribbean volunteer leadership and assisting in the continued strength of the working group.


Purpose

  1. Maintain mentorship programs that enhance women's capacity to mitigate peace, security and crime related risks in Latin America and the Caribbeans.

  2. Assist women in achieving goals in peace and security within all aspects of the securities disciplines.

  3. Assist the Promulgation of guidelines, standards and ethical conduct.

Goals

  1. Advance women of color in leadership roles in the fields of peace, peace security and conflict transformation.

  2. Provide a platform devoted to women of color that cultivates a strong voice and network for its members.

  3. Provide a space encouraging mentorships and partnerships.
